FAQ

Questions before your first class?

I’ve never trained. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Most of our members started with zero experience. Your first classes focus on fundamentals, and a coach will make sure you’re paired with the right partner.

I’m out of shape. Should I get fit first?

No. Jiu jitsu is how you’ll get fit. Go at your own pace; nobody expects you to keep up on day one.

Is jiu jitsu safe?

Yes. Coaches run every class, techniques are taught step by step, and you can tap at any time to stop. Safety and control come first, especially for kids.

What should I wear to my first class?

Comfortable athletic clothes without zippers or pockets. A rash guard with shorts or leggings is perfect. Bring water and we’ll take care of the rest.

How much does a membership cost?

It depends on the program and how often you train. Tap “Get Schedule & Pricing” and we’ll send you current options. Your first class is free either way.

What ages do you teach?

We run dedicated kids and adult classes. Tell us your child’s age when you book and we’ll recommend the right class.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes. One-on-one sessions are available with Professor José (gi and no-gi, kids or adults) and Coach Gary (Muay Thai and kickboxing).

Where are you located?

1107 E Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022, on the south side of Bell Road between 7th St and 12th St.
